ABOUT US

The Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center (NETCAC) is the sole non-profit organization serving a seven-county region in northeast Texas, dedicated to supporting children ages 2-17 who have experienced sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, or have witnessed violent crime or drug use in their homes.

At NETCAC, we prioritize minimizing trauma by allowing children to share their experiences with a trained forensic interviewer in a non-leading manner. This approach helps prevent the need for them to repeat their story multiple times to various individuals.

Our center provides a safe, child-friendly environment where law enforcement, child protective services, legal professionals, medical experts, and mental health specialists collaborate. Together, we share information and develop coordinated strategies tailored to the unique needs of each child and case. Our mission is to reduce trauma for child abuse victims and their families through evidence-based, trauma-informed services.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we offer these essential services at no cost to families. Our work is made possible through grant assistance, generous financial support from local businesses and civic organizations, donations, in-kind gifts, and the dedication of the NETCAC Board of Directors and our volunteers.

NETCAC is a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center, fully compliant with the standards outlined by the Texas Family Code. We are proud members of the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas (CACTX) and the National Children’s Alliance (NCA).
